Move from research to innovation: Trusted AI ready to use

The TRAIL Factory connects researchers and companies. Access technological bricks, datasets, and expertise from the TRAIL network to accelerate your AI projects

The TRAIL Factory is the platform of the TRAIL network (Trusted AI Labs) dedicated to the practical implementation of technology bricks from Artificial Intelligence (AI).

It facilitates the operationalization of AI tools, their distribution and their valorization among companies, public services, and academia.

TRAIL researchers provide documented, ready-to-use software bricks, distributed under open licenses compatible with proprietary use. The goal is to maximize the impact of research results in the field.

What TRAIL Factory offers

The platform brings together and provides :

  • Open source software bricks and other components developed by TRAIL partners
  • Datasets collected and sometimes annotated for training or testing AI models
  • Methodologies and guides (white papers) describing best practices related to trustworthy AI
  • Service offerings: expertise, support, access to infrastructure for businesses
  • Open Science and Open Data connectors, useful to the AI community, particularly from public services or partner companies
A dynamic, interactive platform rooted in the local ecosystem

To ensure visibility and adoption of its content, the TRAIL Factory relies on several levers:

  • An online platform providing access to bricks, datasets, and documentation, with interactive features: comments, votes, tutorial requests
  • Online tutorials (webinars or recorded videos) to facilitate the use of technology bricks
  • Events and workshops for companies, highlighting "off-the-shelf" AI bricks
  • An annual forum in preparation, like the AI Research Assises, dedicated to industry
  • Integration of bricks into professional training, offered notably through Numeria or universities
  • The involvement of Walloon and Brussels companies and institutions, which can publish their own open-source bricks or reference Open Data connectors, to enrich the platform and contribute to its collective impact
