Lotfi Guedria is currently manager of the Embedded & Communicating Systems department at CETIC and a member of the CETIC's Executive Committee. Lotfi obtained his engineering degree in electronics and information processing at the School of Engineering in Chemistry, Physics and Electronics of Lyon, France (CPE Lyon). He also holds a research master's degree in microelectronic design from the National Institute of Applied Sciences of Lyon (INSA Lyon). At CETIC since 2002, he has been widely involved and responsible for the design and prototyping of innovative embedded systems in several application domains, especially in the industrial, medical and transport sectors. He has also been active in setting up, managing and carrying out several regional and European collaborative R&D projects. His expertise covers topics related to the Internet of Things, FPGA based design, heterogeneous computer architectures and wireless communication technologies. His background and experience in embedded systems are engaged to support CETIC partners through R&D consulting services, analysis and exploration of emerging embedded systems technologies, feasibility studies and development of demonstrators and proofs of concept for innovative embedded systems. Evolving in R&D activities management these 5 last years, he leads the definition, implementation and update of the R&D roadmap for his department as well as its alignment and synergies with  applied research activities from other departments at CETIC (big data, machine learning, cloud/edge computing, cybersecurity, cyber-physical systems) and also with CETIC's academic and industrial partners.
