Katircioglu

Isinsu Katircioglu is a Senior Data Scientist at the Biomedical Data Science Center (CHUV), where her research focuses on foundation models in biomedicine and multimodal representation learning for clinical decision support, specifically integrating histopathology images and spatial transcriptomics data. Previously, she spent three years as a Senior Data Scientist at the Swiss Data Science Center, where she focused on applying AI models across diverse domains and led interdisciplinary collaborations with academic and industry partners to translate research into real-world applications. Her expertise spans vision-language foundation models, medical image analysis for tumor segmentation, 3D computer vision (including point cloud analysis, Gaussian Splatting, and Neural Radiance Fields), and generative AI for image synthesis. Isinsu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision from EPFL under the supervision of Prof. Pascal Fua and Dr. Mathieu Salzmann, focusing on human body pose estimation, motion forecasting, and self-supervised learning. She also holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from EPFL and a Bachelor’s degree from Middle East Technical University.
