SCHRUYERS

Engineer specializing in electronic and software design and data analysis. Graduated in 2016 with a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering Sciences (specializing in Sustainable Energy Engineering) from HELMo Gramme, he has a multidisciplinary profile combining academic research (6 years) and experience in private companies (4 years).

Since April 2024, he has been working as a researcher-entrepreneur at the University of Mons, where he is leading the SCENT-ID spin-off project. This project aims to promote odor management solutions for industrial process control. His technical expertise is reinforced by continuing education in artificial intelligence, entrepreneurship, and advanced hardware design.

His research and development activities focus on precision instrumentation and environmental analysis:

  • Odor management and gas sensors: Design of data acquisition systems and hardware platforms for local processing using machine learning.
  • Photonics technologies: Development of fiber optic probes for the detection of pollutants in water and design of optoelectronic systems.
  • Environmental quality and IoT: Development of connected objects for measuring air and water quality, including the creation of web servers and Python libraries for interrogator control.
  • Materials and processes: Optimization of deposits for Li-ion batteries and sol-gel synthesis of membranes.
