I have been a member of UCLouvain since February 2024, where I work as a Research Assistant in the ICTEAM/INGI department's AIA lab under the supervision of Prof. Pierre Schaus. I started my PhD in November 2025, building on research I have been doing for the past 2.5 years on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Large Language Models (LLMs), and I have had work presented at international conferences. I hold a BEng and MEng in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from KU Leuven. Before this, I interned at Sony Depthsensing Solutions, working on 3D and stereo vision and depth-sensing technologies. I am based in Belgium.

I work on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and how to make LLMs more reliable, since on their own they tend to hallucinate or rely on outdated information. Part of my work has looked at retrieving information over time, like tracing how decisions changed across a series of dated documents. I have also worked on document AI, building systems that read through documents, whether they follow a fixed layout or not, and pull out the relevant information into a clean, machine-readable output that is easy to work with downstream. On top of that, I have a background in stereo vision and depth sensing from my time at Sony, covering 3D vision and depth estimation using Time-of-Flight sensors. More generally, I am interested in applying AI to real industry data and problems, not just academic benchmarks.
