Aras Yurtman

I am a researcher in the MedTech team within the Artificial Intelligence Department of Multitel Innovation Centre in Belgium. I apply machine learning and AI techniques on various medical applications.

Previously I was a post-doctoral researcher at KU Leuven and a PhD researcher at Bilkent University. My research was mainly on time series analysis and signal processing with applications in various domains, e.g., wearable sensing and electrical energy data.

My most notable contributions are on unsupervised discovery of motifs (repeating patterns) in time series data and making wearable motion sensors invariant to their placement on the body.
