Jean-François Toubeau is FNRS (National Fund for Scientific Research) post-doctoral researcher working at the University of Mons, Belgium. He is currently a visiting researcher at Imperial College London (since July 2021), and was previously a visiting researcher at KU Leuven (Prof. Erik Delarue) and Technical University of Denmark (Prof. Pierre Pinson). He received the degree in civil electrical engineering, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, from the University of Mons in 2013 and 2018, respectively. Dr. Toubeau has been awarded with the Triennal Prize ‘Guibal & Devillez’ (period 2018-2020) for best PhD thesis at the Faculty of Engineering of Mons, as well as with the Annual Prize ‘Chaire Ores’ (2013) for best Master Thesis in power systems at the same Faculty. Also, he received with Prof. Yi Wang (The University of Hong Kong) the IIF-SAS award (10,000$) for the project proposal in the category of Applications, "Privacy-Preserving Renewable Energy Probabilistic Forecasting", which is attributed by the International Institute of Forecasters He is currently co-supervising 4 PhD students, while teaching for the course ‘Strategic energy and transport management’ in the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree, http://www.smaccs.eu/.
